Returns & Exchanges
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, you will need to contact us for a return authorization, we require proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted ( if applicable)
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 10 days after delivery
Damage Upon delivery, please inspect all shipped items carefully for any damage that may have occurred in transit and contact us immediately. Claims against damaged items must be made within 48 hours of receipt. Claims made after 48 hours cannot be returned or exchanged.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded or exchanged, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and after you have received your return authorization send your item to: The Drapery House, Inc, 438 Harrison St SE, Leesburg VA 20175, United States.
We will only accept items that have been issued a return authorization.
Eligible Items for Return Stock items are eligible for return within 10 days of the date of order. A return authorization from The Drapery House, Inc is required and return shipping must be paid by the sender, and will not be refunded. Items must be returned in their original packaging in unused condition. Soiled or used items will be rejected and returned to you at your expense. If your order is deemed returnable, refunds will be issued in the original payment form and price, less shipping and handling and/or return shipping charges. Standard shipping charges will apply for all "free shipped," non-defective items.
Non Eligible Items for return All quick ship draperies, and quick ship hardware are final sale, and non- eligible for return or exchange. All non-defective cut yardage on fabric, and trim, custom hardware, all special orders, all custom or personalized items are final sale items and are non-eligible for return or exchange.

- Downloadable software products
- Some health and personal care items
Personalized and Custom Orders Personalized and custom order items are non-returnable and non-refundable. You have up to 24 hours from the date the order was placed to cancel a personalized or specific custom order, store credit will be issued at this time. Credit will be issued for balance due after design fee expenses are deducted, minimum design fee is $250.00. After 48 hours these orders are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Lead Times & Delivery The Drapery House does everything possible to assure a smooth and prompt delivery of your items purchased; however, there are circumstances out of our control that may arise and result in a delay in the production or delivery of your items. We do our best to give accurate lead times to each manufacturer, but estimated lead times are not a guarantee of a specific delivery date. You will be notified of any item that is back ordered or discontinued as soon as we are informed by our vendors.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a traceable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item, and you are responsible for any shipments being delivered to The Drapery House, Inc.
